“Dancers at the Barre”, acrylic on paper 40x30cm. Early in 2017, a friend and artist, Marianne Simonin gave lessons and workshops in her then East London Studio. I was nervous to paint this representation of Degas’ “Dancers at the Barre”, and with Marianne’s encouragement and technical guidance, I managed it,. And in under two hours!
