“Sailboats” (2.4.22) (after Frank Sherwin), oil on canvas 340x30cm, is the first of a trio collection, in honour of my beloved late Mama, Renée Chatlani. During the period of mourning, skimming through my beloved late Mama Renée’s portfolio, I came across some prints of boats and landscapes, inspired from a Cornish artist Frank Sherwin. I recognized them as Mama having painted these many decades ago, when my brother and I were young and at home.  I remember them on the walls of our home. As I had not painted, or at the very least, felt any inspiration or motivation to lift any brushes, after Mama passed, I was immediately captured by these paintings.
