“Mama’s Rose “oil on canvas, 30x20cm October 2021
Mama and I were sitting out in her delightful small garden, a lovely sunny, summer, breezy day, admiring the roses which I had so lovingly planted for her. The scent of these lovely soft pastel, orange, roses, reached me. As Mama had become less mobile and I wanted to share the scent of the flowers, I picked one so that she could also enjoy the scent. She found it delightful. I then took a picture of her holding the rose. I showed Mama the photo, and she then said “you could paint that”. And so I did!
