“Listen To the Grandmothers” oil on canvas 40x30cm 5.4.23 The third in a new abstract series, entitled “10 Thousand Years (…of the patriarchy)” influenced and inspired, emerging out of decades of global, social and personal patriarchal dominance. This painting suggest Grandmothers’ wisdom  – building bridges to support  living legacies of  all ancient traditions that gives us deeper insights and wisdom, learning and culture delving deeply into the mysteries of life and the importance of honoring the connection that exists among all beings, the nature and the cosmos. More on this will be written in a blog. This particular painting is inspired by my Mama Renée’s black and white charcoal drawings.  I was moved to present a monochrome painting.
