“Gorgeous”

Description

“Gorgeous” is an original painting of another family friend.  Whilst curating Renée’s prolific and eclectic art work I had to find titles for each piece. Most spontaneously arose and were then so-called.  No mean feat. I did not always know who the friends were that Renée painted.  Renée was absolutely amazing at giving the likeness when painting a portrait.  What was also awesome, was that no person every sat live for her.  She painted all her portraits from photos.  She almost always painted portraits in oils. Oils was her preferred medium. As is mine! Go Mama!
