“Frida’s Frocks”

Description

Enthralled by Frida Kahlo and her life and paintings, her connection and relationship with Diego Rivera, her husband, I visited the exhibition : “Frida Kahlo – Making Herself up  at the Victoria and Albert Museum in 2018.  I had read the notices incorrectly, and mistakenly understood that photos were permitted.  They were not! I did, however, manage to capture a few and replicated this one on canvas.  My friend who bought this, has a special association with Frida Kahlo – having already bought two of my portraits of Frida, and also a strong connection to the costumes and clothes.
