“Exotika”, oil on canvas, 30x20cm. After my Mama passed on 31.10.22 I found many sketches and half-finished paintings in her portfolio, some of which we had never seen. Inspired by her sketch, I wanted to paint it in oils, dedicated to her. There are two “parrot looking” birds in the foreground. Since then, parrots have started appearing in my garden! I have included Renée’s original sketch in the gallery in her honour.
