“Face to Face” oil on canvas. This painting is an original and unique representation of the classical yoga asana – the Head Balance – Sirsasana. . Inspired by figurative abstract, vibrant colours, energy of yogasana (yoga poses) and spontaneous sketching during live yoga classes. 2003-2004. Many came tumbling out and were named “Yogaflows Art”. A few were painted during a quiet afternoon on the balcony of the Phoolchatty Ashram in Rishikesh, Northern India during a six week long yoga, meditation and pranayama retreat with the great yogi and teacher Clive Sheridan. This particular piece was painting during our afternoon yoga group session, where we worked in partners or in groups of three. This is also is the personification of the merging of the male and female energies of Shiva – the male energy, and the Shakti – the female energy,
