Description
It is said “every picture tells a story”. The story is what you see – you the perceiver. Well I will tell you the story behind how this painting manifested. I had some Kingfisher Blue and other paint left over, and I was going to paint a new canvas, and decided to do the background blue, and use up the paint. As my hand moved side to side with the brush, suddenly the brush took over and seemed to be moving really quickly, as if it knew what it was painting. We know that the foreground in real life of sunsets, are invariably dark, black even, and yet here, we have sunset, real light vibrant blue sea, and shore, land and whatever you see in the foreground. I was amazed. Hence the title of “Dream – All Is Not What It Seems”, because in real life we see one way, and in a dream we see altogether another way – vibrant, dark colours, anything is possible. This painting will be available for sale after my solo exhibition in 2025. It may be reserved. Please contact Mohini for more details if interested.
