About Mohini
Mohini is a multi‑disciplinary creative whose life has been shaped by art, yoga, music, and spiritual practice. For over 40 years she has been a practising yogi, teacher, and trainer, known for her contemplative approach and her commitment to personal evolution. Her work in Yang Style Tai Chi and Qi Gong further deepens her understanding of embodied awareness, which she shares with elders and students to support balance, serenity, and wellbeing.
Her creative life began in music — singing, performing, composing, recording, and collaborating with international artists. Under her label Heartspace Music, she released four albums from her London studio, and her book Yogaflows™ (2002) continues to inspire yogis worldwide. Though she rarely sings now, she sees her vocal lineage alive in her paintings: the inner voice becoming colour, movement, and energy across the canvas.
Mohini’s art is profoundly influenced by her heritage — Armenian/Egyptian and Indian — and by the legacy of her late mother, the prolific artist Renée Chatlani. What began as a serious amateur practice has evolved into a professional artistic path, with exhibitions in London including the Arts Trail (2019), the London Health Care Clinic (2021–22), and her first solo exhibition at The View, Epping Forest (2025), Summer Show, The View (2026), North London Arts Trail (2026).
Her earlier professional life — from UNESCO Paris to American Express, and Bank of America, from corporate management to teaching singing — forms the foundation that enabled her to establish Heartspace Yoga (1997), Heartspace Music (2009), and Heartspace Music London Recording Label (2012). Today, her work continues to evolve as an integrated expression of creativity, spirituality, and inner listening.
