Elemental (nfs)

Elemental oil on canvas 30x20cm 13.3.26 Creating new works for a further exhibition in 2027. This work based on an abstract work by Mama Renée. She was moving from the black and white abstract charcoal series she successfully completed in the early 1970s continuing the genre, only now in oils.  Renée produced one of these works per day during a convalescence after a major operation. I remember encouraging her saying “When I come home I would like to see another work”. She was indeed encouraged, and the series totalled between 25-30 pieces. Looking at my finished work I see all the elements ; fire, water, earth, wood and air.
