“Holy Mother”, 30 x 20 cm, pencil and oil pastel, framed under glass. Frame included with sale. Inspired both by Hindu/Vedic art and having represented some of the deities in my portfolios, my Christian roots, and my allegiance with the Holy Mother, The Divine Mother, and the Divine Feminine energy, also shows itself in my representations of Her. Here, is the Christian Holy Mother – Our Lady – a detail from a larger sourced image. This was among the first portraits, where I initially used pencil, and then ventured into using oil pastel, for colour and highlighting.
