Warren Wood Reimagined oil on canvas (13.3.25) Whilst out on a walk in Epping Forest, the Warren Pond and Wood opposite the Epping Forest Visitors Centre, as always, I was struck by the immensity of the great oak trees. I took some photos, and thought I would try my hand at one of them. As the process of this painting unfolded, different colours appeared in my mind’s artistic eye, and a flourish of pinks, gold, deep reds and browns and blues appeared. Thus “reimagined”.
