An original oil on canvas 40cm diameter, inspired by a beautiful self portrait of Frida Kahlo which came into my feed. After experimenting with some different options, assisted by an A.I. tool, I came up with this version superimposing my own portrait and composition.
She finally succumbed to the self-portrait, with reluctance and disinterest, she applied herself, detached from the end product, and hey presto she is quite pleased with the result. You will recognize her, and yet it may not fully resemble her in real life. She painted herself as she felt, tapping into a heretofore unknown source within her, aided by a recent photograph
