I am drawn to listen more acutely to the inner voice which says “paint this next” – which may refer to something I have sourced, another of my Mama’s work or something completely different. I have pretty much completted the realist landscape series based on Mama Renée’s works, and now continue the abstract landscapes of Epping Forest, nature and impressionist abstract works for my first solo exhibition in the near future at The View, in Epping Forest Visitors Centre, in 2025.

House By The River oil on canvas 40x30x4cm (nfs) (3.4.25) inspired by the work and style of Cezanne Having completed the Seasonal Series for the upcoming exhibition in Spring 2025, my work has led me to the influence of abstract with a smattering of the impressionist qualities which I so admire, and here particularly, Cezanne.   Having exhibited five of my paintings in June 2024 in the North Chingford Arts Trail on the theme of “A New Light, lovingly curated by Love North Chingford, at “The View” in the Epping Forest Visitors Centre, East London.  Whist chatting to the curator of the exhibition, I asked about exhibiting at their gallery – a lovely airy gallery upstairs in the centre, with a view! The themes they accept are – nature, forest, landscapes.  Spot on serendipity!
