“Entrance to Rubens’ Garden” is an original oil painting, by Renée Chatlani. Peter Paul Rubens was a Flemist artist of the 17th Century. This painting, is an synergy of the current gardens in Belgium and René’s imaginative workings of the same. It was commissioned by a Flemish/Belgium friend. Whilst continuing to live in North London, Renée had attended St. Martin’s School of Art for a a year or so, and then, worked with local artist Perini, in his atelier in Wood Green, Renee’s painting style gradually developed and changed, as she integrated many different learned and intuitive painting and drawing techniques over the her painting life. She continued this creative, artistic and eclectic work which progressed over the decades and to the art work we can now bear witness to.
