Description
“Mixed Flowers” is an original still life painting, by Renée Chatlani. Whilst continuing to live in North London, Renée was introduced to local artist Edmund Perini and his dear wife Lyse. Perini, also from Egypt of Italian origin, who not only painted prolifically, also ran a weekly atelier in his home. Renée attended for many years, embodying Perini’s painting style and eventually integrating into her own, as her own creative, artistic and eclectic work progressed over the decades. They became great friends, which extended beyond mutual artists. Many stories of Egypt and Groppi, were exchanged over coffee and traditional baked cakes. A delight to behold.
