“Josephine”

.”Josephine”, 30×23 cm. Oil Pastel on paper. Framed glass included with sale. This was one of my first portraits and thus continued my first foray into portrait drawing and painting. And loving it.  At first I found using fingers only to rub the paints together was very labour intensive – although many artists use this method.  I eventually used a thin brush dipped in a little medium, and this made the paints flow beautifully together. This one was done in France whilst on vacation at my brother’s retreat centre.
