Forest View oil on canvas 46×36 (13.1.202625) inspired and influenced  by the work and style of Scott Bevan an American artist.  Painted directly on to the canvas in the “alla prima” way, uniquely using palette knife.  The painting took roughly only 2 hours. Pleased with my “Luscious Landscape” – I wanted to try to paint its “pair”. Whilst looking at Forest View still drying, I am tempted to paint a fresh work changing all the colours. Let me pull the thread and see where it leads!

Description

I am drawn to listen more acutely to the inner voice which says “paint this next” – which may refer to something I have sourced, another of my Mama’s work or something completely different, other artists whom I admire and am influenced by. I have pretty much completed the realist landscape series based on Mama Renée’s works, and the abstract landscapes of Epping Forest,  which were exhibited in May 2025, and now continue with nature and impressionist abstract works for my next exhibition at The View, in Epping Forest Visitors Centre, in 2027.
