“Feathered”, oil painting by Renée Chatlani one in the series “Carnival of Venice”  Mohini had bought her Mama a beautiful calendar of an 1980’s Carnival of Venice, photographed by Fulvio Roiter in Venice in circa 1986, which inspired her series of the same name.  Roiter published many beautiful photographs, and there are many books on the Carnival of Venice.  Mohini managed to purchase his stunning book “Magic Venice in Carnival” (in Italian), although, after much research, the original calendar which inspired Renée’s series was unobtainable, and none of Renée’s paintings feature as photographs in this book.
