“Bil-Bil, Benelmadena”is an original oil painting, by Renée Chatlani. Quite a few of Renée’s original paintings were influenced and inspired by the extensive times she spend in her Spanish flat on the Costa del Sol. This is one of them. It features the Castillo el Bil Bil which we, as a family, became most familiar with as a “local point of interest” when we resided in Benelmadena, Southern Spain.
Whilst continuing to live in North London, Renée had attended St. Martin’s School of Art for a a year or so, and then, worked with local artist Perini, in his atelier in Wood Green, Renee’s painting style gradually developed and changed, as she integrated many different learned and intuitive painting and drawing techniques over the her painting life. She continued this creative, artistic and eclectic work which progressed over the decades and to the art work we can now bear witness to.
