Description
“The White Plumes”, 40 x 30 cm, after Matisse, acrylic on paper, unframed, Hesitant, at this stage of my artistic study and development as an artist, this representation of the Matisse “White Plumes” remained faceless. My later works – that is – the more abstract and figurative abstract, are presented faceless, to allow the viewer to intuit and feel into their own experience and perception of a painting without imposing a mood which may be portrayed in the facial expression presented. My later portraits do have faces!
